Position Summary

Oasis Haven Hospice provides compassionate, end-of-life care that focuses on comfort, dignity, and peace. Volunteers are essential members of the care team, providing emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families during this sacred stage of life.

Key Responibilites

  • Offer companionship, reading, or music to hospice patients

  • Provide respite visits so family caregivers can rest

  • Assist with bereavement follow-ups and family support calls

  • Help prepare comfort bags and assist in memorial services or remembrance events

  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of compassion and respect

Qualifications

  • Genuine empathy and emotional maturity

  • Ability to sit quietly and be present in sensitive settings

  • Completion of hospice volunteer training (provided by Oasis Haven)

  • Must be at least 18 years old with background clearance
